About Any 2 Cards Poker League


Any 2 Cards Poker League ran its first tournament on the 20/7/2008 at The Globe Hotel in Ballarat Victoria and has been going from strength to strength ever since.

A2C Tournaments are aimed at the average Joe who enjoys poker and a social night out. A2C provides a relaxed environment whether you are a “gun” poker player or a beginner playing Texas Hold'em Poker for the first time.

All players start regular tournaments with 3000 chips and have an opportunity to get another 5000 chips if they fill out their “Chip Me Up ” card by spending $10 at the venue where the tournament is being held. Once you have filled your "Chip Me Up" card there are “Second Chance” tickets available when you make further purchases at the venue. These can be used for some draws during that tournament.

Members who bring along a new player will receive a “Bonus Chip" card worth 1000 chips. Each new player also receives a "Bonus Chip" card worth 1000 chips. However no player can receive more than one “Bonus Chip" card per night.

After the first break players have the chance to drawn back into the tournament or win more chips by handing in there "chip me up" and "second chance tickets". If there are 3 table's then 3 names are drawn out and 4 names for 4 tables ect. Players who have their name drawn out will win 3000 in chips regardless of whether they are still in the tournament or have lost all their chips and get drawn back in.

Players who are knocked out of a tournament still have a chance to get back in via a Turbo/Bad beat Table. Eight players will be randomly drawn to play an 8 player single table tournament. The winner will be entered back into the main tournament on the final table. In the case that there are not enough players to run a turbo table a player will be drawn back onto the final table using their “Chip Me Up ” card or “Second Chance” tickets. The lucky player will be seated on the dealer button and receive an equal amount of chips to the lowest chip stack but not less than the current big blind.

*35 players or more are required to hold a Turbo/Bad beat table. For tournaments with less than 35 players someone will be drawn onto final table when 8 players or less remain.

The winner of each tournament will win a Any 2 cards poker league card guard plus a $15 coles/myer voucher and second will win either a meal voucher or $10 Coles/Myer depending on venue.
